Learn the fundamental skills needed for safe enjoyment of the sport of sea kayaking. In our ACA certified courses you'll develop and learn skills that will help you fully explore the joys of the paddling. Your instructor is Chris Kuhlman, a BCU (British Canoe Union) 4 Star paddler, Level 2 coach and ACA (American Canoe Association) Open Water Instructor.

Classes are taught in appropriate conditions for the level of training you are seeking. Most classes are based in Seabrook, 30 minutes from Houston, on the waters of Galveston Bay or the protected areas of Clear Lake.

Introduction to Paddling
 On-water practice of basic strokes and maneuvers.
Rescue demonstrations.		 4 hours $75
Basic
Level 1		 Basic strokes, maneuvers and rescues. 7 hours $125
Intermediate
Level 2		 Advanced stroke and manuever development. Introduction to tides, currents and basic navigation. May be beneficial to take more than once. 7 hours $125
Open Water
Level 3		 Open water journey, chart reading and navigation, advanced maneuvers and open water rescues. 7 hours $125

The course does not include equipment. However, we can arrange for and provide properly equipped rental sea kayaks for your course. $40 - $70.

Private Kayak Instruction
Coaching is available for private instruction to give you the one-on-one teaching you desire, as well as fitting into your busy schedule. The rates are $65.00/hour and $25.00/hour for each additional person.
